Becker, we are not at the beginning of a depression and technology will save us

"We are not in the position of 1929" stated the Nobel Gary Becker during the lectio magistralis of last day at World Social Summit in Rome. The progress weighed on reality change, generating on the same time new anxieties and remedy to face them. "Medicine, globalization and economy are getting more and more hard, nevertheless the technology revails its importance". Ecomic crisis has just begun, but there will be not a new depression. "Today unemployment rate is 10%, in 1929 it was about 25%" stated Becker. "I'm sure, we will recover".
